Experienced Special Educator and Executive Function Teacher

I’m Carol Cooper-Braun, a dedicated and experienced special educator with over two decades of rich experience in this specialized field. My journey began with a deep focus on Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), leading me to establish and manage a successful program tailored for these students for 15 years.

Now I bring my expertise to individual sessions, serving as an executive function teacher/coach at Princeton Speech-Language & Learning Center. My work isn’t just a profession—it’s a calling inspired by my personal experiences and fueled by my commitment to making a significant difference in the lives of my clients.

A Trusted Professional You Can Rely On

The combination of extensive experience and personal dedication I offer in executive function teaching is rare. I have dedicated over 20 years to working with individuals aged 8 to 98, predominantly those diagnosed with ASD and/or ADHD. Executive functions are the cornerstone of success in both academic and professional environments, and understanding ADHD as an executive function disorder is at the heart of my practice.

My insight into executive function challenges is not purely academic; it’s personal. Diagnosed with ADHD in my 30s, I have navigated this journey firsthand. Moreover, as an autism expert and the creator of the Social Strides Program in 2004, my professional inspiration stems from a deeply personal place—the experience of raising a child with autism.

My diverse background extends beyond education. As a former Mrs. NJ, author, actress, and elected school board member, I bring a unique perspective to public education and the broader conversation on special education and executive function.

Offering More Than Just Education

With my multifaceted experience, I am committed to providing consultation services, engaging in speaking engagements, and leading professional development programs. I aim to share my knowledge and insights with schools and businesses worldwide, delivering strategies and support to individuals facing executive function challenges.

I am here to make a difference, leveraging my journey and professional achievements to illuminate the importance of executive function skills and understanding autism. If you or someone you know could benefit from expert guidance in these areas, I’m here to help. Let’s navigate this journey together, fostering success and understanding every step of the way.
