ADDitude (online magazine) http://additudemag.com/ This is a wonderful online magazine where many of the best clinicians submit articles. Most are related to ADHD and the executive functions. There is information about literally any topic related to ADHD you can think of.
ADHD experts to listen to and watch (Youtube, Spotify (podcasts), etc.)
Dr. Russell Barkley – very science-based- This is a long video from Dr. Barkley, but I feel it is a must-watch for parents with a child with ADHD but also informative for those of us (like myself) with ADHD.
Dr. Edward (Ned) Hallowell – very positive – “ADHD can be a gift”- stresses the importance of social connection-some of his books are co-authored with John Ratey (Driven to Distraction)
Dr. John Ratey – often works with Hallowell- stresses the importance of regular exercise – likens it to taking a stimulant and an antidepressant- changes the brain chemistry: author of Spark: The Revolutionary New Science of Exercise and the Brain
Dr. Thomas Brown – very clinical – has authored numerous books: Smart But Stuck
Drs. Richard Guare and Peg Dawson – Smart But Scattered and Smart But Scattered Teens – filled with excellent strategies to employ in your own household- written for parents
Dr. Lynn Meltzer Promoting Executive Function in the Classroom
I use her group’s online curriculum, SMARTS, for teaching some EF skills.
